“It took me time to get accustomed to it, but now I can say that I’m truly happy.” That is what Stephan answered when he was asked “you seem to be happy, right ?” I was travelling with BlaBlaCar for the first time, the driver and Stephan came to this point without me asking any questions, the spirit of carsharing was enough !

Stephan told us that he was fired by his advertising company ten years ago. He happened to be too “old” to get a chance to be hired in advertising again. During this period of time, he traveled a lot and found another job in which he can now use his skills but in a far more peaceful way. “I don’t have as much money as I used to have, but I learned to get rid of the material stuff and I feel lighter. I have time for my children and for myself and when I meet my previous colleagues, I see that they are very stressed while I’m enjoying life.”
